It contains data on individual university students enrolled in a bachelor’s or master’s or doctoral degree program. Record of newly admitted students into the register is made immediately after enrollment of the student in the relevant study program (Section 88 (4), Section 51 (1) of Act No. 111/1998 Coll.).

Benefits and key features

  • The Higher Education Act No. 111/1998 Coll. (amended and consolidated), requires universities and providers of foreign higher education operating in the Czech Republic to keep the Students´ Register, which serves as a record of students and for budgetary and statistical purposes.
  • The CTU sends data for Students´ Register generated from the KOS application to the central database of the SIMS system and permanently supplements and updates it by periodic data collection (four times a year).
