Draw and Write – You can draw and write with different types of pens and highlighters, either with the pen you have on your device or with your finger.
Take a quick note – Go straight to a blank page by clicking the Quick Note button in the Action Center and with the supported pen types.
Work together – Share your notebooks with colleagues, family or friends and edit them together in real time.
Share everything via OneNote – Send websites, recipes, documents and more to OneNote through the button Share, Microsoft Edge, Clipper, Office Lens and many other services and applications.
Recent notes – Quickly open your recent notes (each page preview can help you).
Create lists – Quickly write down to-do lists with checkboxes.
Search – Find easily what you’re looking for in your notes, including handwritten notes and text in pictures.
Paper – Take notes on a clean background or use a squared or lined background to make drawing and writing easier.
Custom formatting – organize your notes with tables, bullets, colours, and more.

The basic structure of OneNote is based on several levels. The basic level is the individual notebook. Notebooks consist of sections that are colour coded for better thematic division. From a large number of sections, section groups can be created for more clarity. Each section is then made up of pages on which notes are inserted.
